After-sales Service Policy
This After-sales Service Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this policy”) applies to products you purchase directly from Govee and GoveeLife’s official channels (including only the official website, Govee App Mall, and Amazon). Govee and GoveeLife will provide you with convenient and clear official after-sales service based on this policy. If you purchase Govee and GoveeLife products through other channels, please contact the seller via that channel for assistance. After-sales service policies may vary across different sales channels. Please refer to the terms and conditions of the respective sales channel. For reading convenience, Govee and the GoveeLife channel/brand will be referred to as Govee in the following text.
To the extent permitted by applicable laws, the warranties and remedies listed in this policy are exclusive and supersede all other warranties, remedies, and conditions, whether oral, written, statutory, express or implied. To the extent permitted by laws, Govee disclaims all statutory and implied warranties, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and warranties against hidden or potential defects. If the applicable laws do not allow for the exemption of such warranties, the above limitations may not apply to you. You have other statutory rights if applicable law grants you such rights, and those rights cannot be excluded from application.
I. This policy includes the following after-sales services: handling of damaged/missing parts upon receipt, 30-day no-reason return service, and limited warranty service.
(i) Handling of Damaged/Missing Parts upon Receipt
If you find the product damaged or in short supply upon receiving the package, don’t hesitate to get in touch with customer service immediately and provide the following information in your email so we can handle it for you as quickly as possible:
1. Order number
2. Three clear photos, respectively:
- Outer packaging with SKU label
- Outer packaging with waybill information
- Product damages/Quantity shortages (actual photos)
If necessary, we may also ask for your cooperation on providing other necessary information.
If the information is verified to be true and valid, we will promptly arrange for an exchange or refund for you.
(ii) 30-Day No-Reason Return Policy
1. If you are not satisfied with the product within 30 days from the date of purchase, you can apply for a no-reason return and a full refund. To apply for a return, the following conditions must be met, and you are responsible for the return mailing costs to Govee:
- The product was not installed and not damaged.
- The original packaging, all accessories, instruction manual, gifts, and other items are complete and will be returned together with the product.
2. Refurbished items purchased through this website and Govee App Mall are not available for the 30-day no-reason return policy.
3. 2025 holiday extension return policy
For all the orders placed between October 1, 2025 and December 31, 2025, the deadline for 30-day no-reason return will be uniformly extended to January 31, 2026.
This 2025 holiday extension return policy does not apply to gift cards or refurbished items.
4. 30-day no-reason return process
- Submit a return request:
If you have an official website account: Please log in and submit your application on the Order page.
If you do not have an official website account: Please submit your application through the official return channel without logging in. - Waiting for review:
After you submit your return request, we will review it as soon as possible. Please return the product only after your application has been approved. Products that have not been reviewed and are returned directly will not be refunded. - Return products:
Once being approved, please send the product to the return address designated by Govee within 7 days and upload a valid tracking number without special characters on the return application page. You are solely responsible for any damage or loss that occurs during the mailing for returning the product. - Refund processing:
We will handle your refund application as soon as possible after receiving the package and verifying that the product is in good condition. If the product, packaging, accessories, gifts or other items you return are incomplete or damaged, we reserve the right to refuse your return request or deduct the corresponding fees from the refund amount.
(iii) Limited Warranty Service
1. Within the product warranty period, if you use the product normally in accordance with the product instructions provided by Govee (including but not limited to the product details page, product user manual, etc.), but the product cannot be used normally due to product design, manufacturing process or material problems, Govee will provide you with convenient and clear official limited warranty service. The product warranty period is as follows:
- Standard products (LED strips, smart lights, light bulbs, thermohygrometers, meat thermometers, water sensors, smart home appliances): 12 months
- Test products and products redeemed with points: 90 days
The warranty period for all the above products is calculated from the date of purchase (redemption).
2. Situations where the limited warranty service does not apply include, but are not limited to:
- Unable to provide valid proof of purchase
- Product lost or stolen
- Warranty expired
- Free gifts
- The product was disassembled, modified, or repaired without authorization.
- Product damage caused by artificial damage: dropping, water damage, use in extreme environments, improper use, etc.
- Normal color fading and wear during use (such as natural wear and tear on the product’s outer surface), wear and aging of connectors, and blockages caused by dirt or dust accumulation.
- Products not purchased directly from Govee
3. Limited Warranty Service process
- Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us or the rapid/express replacement page, and provide valid proof of purchase (such as the order number of a product purchased directly from Govee, a sales invoice, a sales receipt containing a product description, price, and date), photos/videos of flaw, product serial number, and other information.
- Please cooperate with us to troubleshoot product malfunctions and, if necessary, send the product back to us for further testing.
- If we verify that your product is covered by the conditions of the limited warranty, we will issue your refund or replace the product.
4. Important Notes on Limited Warranty Service
- The limited warranty service is only valid in the country/region where the product was originally purchased. If you use the product in a different region, the limited warranty service will automatically expire.
- For products purchased via the authorized channels (such as Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, or other retail channels), the after-sales service will be provided by the corresponding channel.
- If we provide you with limited warranty service by replacing the product, the warranty period of the replaced product will continue to be valid for the remaining warranty period of the original product and will not be recalculated. If we provide you with a limited warranty service through the full-amount refund, the limited warranty service on your product will automatically terminate upon the full-amount refund is issued.
II. Additional notes about Govee after-sales service
1. Govee products are easy to install; you can install and disassembly them yourself by following the product instructions. Therefore, you shall bear the costs of product installation and disassembly. Govee shall not be liable for any installation or disassembly costs and expenses incurred or paid by you or any third party you engage for installing or disassembling the product
2. You will be responsible for bearing the mailing costs in the following situations:
- If you apply for limited warranty service and are required by Govee to send the product back to Govee for testing, but the product does not meet the conditions of the limited warranty after testing, you will need to bear the round-trip mailing costs.
- If you apply for limited warranty service outside the original country/region of purchase, and Govee requires the product to be sent back to Govee for testing, you will be responsible for the mailing cost of sending the product back to Govee.
- Regardless of the reason for sending your personal items to Govee, you will be responsible for the mailing costs incurred in sending your personal items to Govee.
- For cross-border mailing or products returned by you without Govee’s prior written consent, you will be responsible for the round-trip mailing costs.
3. If you include your personal belongings in a package sent to Govee, Govee would not be liable for any damage or loss of your personal belongings and has the right to dispose of them at its own discretion.
4. Govee shall not be liable for any loss of your data caused by your use of Govee products.
III. Policy on Returning Points
After purchasing products using points, even if the transaction is not completed, or if a refund or an after-sale occurs, the points will be returned after the transaction is closed.
